Description

The Staffing Coordinator will provide staff support by planning, organizing and assisting in the coordination of services for patients/clients discharged from the hospital or related facilities into the home health program.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Enters clinical staff schedules timely and accurately into the computer daily
  • Enters pertinent information to assure accurate staff scheduling.
  • Utilizes an automated scheduling system to maintain a calendar of services for both episodic and per visit customers. Processes workflow for requested scheduled, missed, rescheduled, reassigned, declined, and delivered visits
  • Communicate with field staff and D.O.N regarding schedules as needed.
  • Demonstrates competence in communication and interpersonal relations.
  • Assists in coordination of scheduling and tracking all supervisory visits and therapy reassessment visits, as required per regulatory requirements.
  • Attends and participates in annual inservice programs, workshops, continuing educational programs.
  • Reports any scheduling changes to the supervisor. Notifies patients of changes and provides supervisory support in monitoring employee performance in areas of dependability, responsiveness, timeliness, and patient concerns.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Must be able to multitask in a FAST PACE environment
  • Sound knowledge of the Medicare rules and regulations.
  • High school Diploma, GED (Bachelors Degree preferred or equivalent work experience)
  • Understanding of Home Health & OASIS.
  • One year of home health, SNF or healthcare facility experience
  • Medical Terminology familiarity
Ability to professionally & effectively manage department including staffing and documentation responsibilities. Require knowledge of home care, including an understanding of payer sources.

Ability to demonstrate good judgment and communicate well; both verbally and in writing regarding patient rights, including privacy and confidentiality.

Ability to function independently, organize, and prioritize while using good decision-making skills.

Must abide by agency policies & procedures, while working well in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly to changing conditions.
