Job Summary
The BODYBAR Pilates Fitness Manager (FM) is an ambassador of the BODYBAR member experience and method.

As a member of the BODYBAR leadership team working alongside the Studio Manager, the FM is an integral part of studio success.

This individual is the studio programming expert, ensures brand adherence, supports sales, leads instructor recruitment, builds community, and instructs daily classes.

The role requires someone that is a fitness professional with management and leadership experience. Group instruction experience is required, Pilates experience is a plus.


Responsibilities

  • Teach approximately 1215 BODYBAR Pilates classes per week
  • Provide excellent customer service and member experience
  • Develop and manage the instructor team (recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and ongoing instructor evaluation and feedback) to drive consistency of quality instruction
  • Collaborate with Studio Manager and the Owner to drive studio success via partnerships, sales strategy implementation, and community events
  • Manage and develop class schedule based on client needs
  • Assist with sales and member recruitment
  • Implement member retention strategies
  • Track and grow studio performance using KPIs
  • Assist with community outreach and partnership
  • Equipment management: preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, ordering replacement parts as needed, etc.
  • Provide reporting as requested
  • Create community at the studio through engagement with members before, during, and after class

Qualifications

  • Must have at least one of the following credentials:
  • Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science or related field
  • Must be certified personal trainer/group fitness instructor
  • 500hour Pilates certification
  • Minimum of 5 years in the fitness industry
  • Minimum of 2 years management experience in fitness or related field
  • Proficient with Google Suites including Docs, Sheets, Slides, Meet, Calendar, Gmail
  • Proficient in the learning and use of new technologies (Club Ready experience a plus)
  • Detailed oriented and organized
  • Strong oral & written communication skills
  • Community builder
  • Positive leader & team player

Additional Details:


This position is paid by the hour and is comprised of 10-15 hours of instruction / week plus 10-15 hours of administrative duties per week for a total of 25-30 hours weekly.

The hourly pay rate for instruction and administrative work is different. The role could become full time.
