Purpose:

Responsible for supporting the U.S.

benefits program by ensuring the administration and delivery of our plans in the areas of health and welfare benefit administration, disability management, retirement plans and retiree/survivor services.

This role works closely with the U.S. Benefits Senior Manager and the Total Rewards COE.


What You'll Do:


  • Responsible for supporting the enterprisewide leave of absence program
  • Support the endtoend leave administration process to ensure the efficient execution of the leave management program and serve as resource for all leave related questions, processes and procedures for employees
  • Policy interpretation, eligibility determination, and daytoday administration of all benefits, retiree programs, retirement and wellbeing programs within established standards and Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
  • First point of escalation to answer complex inquiries and resolves issues related to benefit programs/plans (Ask HR). Resolves complex employee issues through interaction with vendors, employees, and HR Operations
  • Coordinates, in partnership with the Benefits Manager; Open Enrollment, vendors relations, internal communications, annual audit materials, and knowledge management tool
  • Through coordination with leave management vendor, deliver disability and family leaves in accordance with state, federal and Bank policies
  • Generate reports relative to plan enrollments and payroll contributions to evaluate and authorize benefits premium invoices. Reviews and reconciles benefit bills and initiates corrections and payments (checks received by vendors for accounts receivable processing).
  • Partner with Benefits vendors and Senior Manager on the identification and remediation of technology issue management and enhancements
  • Conduct employee benefit information sessions for health, welfare, retirement, and ancillary benefits
  • Participate in the development and review of employee benefit communication materials (i.e. summary plan descriptions, FAQs, etc.). Ensures benefit documents are up to date and available on company website
  • In conjunction with Senior Manager, assists in establishing, strengthening and development of U.S. HR benefit policies, processes, technologies and departmental workflow with an understanding of industry best practices
  • Stays abreast of benefits compliance matters and government regulations
  • Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge
  • Additional adhoc duties and projects as they arise
  • Understand how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in daytoday activities and decisions.
  • Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of daytoday business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct.

What You'll Bring:


  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in benefits / leave management and accommodation administration including FMLA, ADA, NYPFL, CAPFL, shortterm and longterm disability
  • Understanding of benefits administration and delivery knowledge, policies, and procedures (exp 35 years)
  • Knowledge of benefits program compliance and reporting
