We, the Stadtwerke Ilmenau GmbH, are a municipal company that is closely connected to the region and its citizens. We are responsible for the network area of the city of Ilmenau, the districts of Ilmenau-Roda, Manebach, Oberpörlitz, Unterpörlitz, Heyda (only electricity) and Oehrenstock (only gas) as the network operator. From a technical point of view, the responsibilities of the network operator include maintenance, upkeep, modernization and expansion of the network, as well as the detection and elimination of disruptions.

We are currently looking for:

Head of Network Operations for Electricity (m/f/d)

Your tasks, responsibilities and duties:

  • technical and professional leadership of electrical specialists
  • responsibility for planning, testing, commissioning and maintenance of low and medium voltage networks and related equipment
  • ensuring supply quality and recording network condition data
  • budget/investment and expense planning
  • participation in on-call duty and emergency management in case of disruptions
  • implementation, documentation, acceptance and billing of construction measures
  • responsibility for occupational safety and provision of personal protective equipment in the department
  • monitoring of metering operations
