The Job:

FCI is in search of a Design Drafter to join our Nuclear Division.

This position will play a crucial role in supporting the development of nuclear instruments, along with documentation of detailed drawings of our engineering designs and specifications.

What You'll Do:

Collaborate with Design Engineers to create or modify drawings.
Manage file creations using ADEPT (Product Data Management tool).
Create 3D modeling of assemblies and instrumental parts, while generating detailed dimensional drawings for reference.
Troubleshoot assemblies for fit, form and function and provide recommendations for corrections, such as the piping systems, control systems, etc.
Interpret redline changes and update to existing engineering documents using the ECN process (Engineering Change Notice).
Generate manufacturing work instruments, bill of materials, and outlines of dimensional drawings or wiring diagrams.
Present 3D models of design specifications to supervisors and engineers after completion.

What You'll Need:

Associate degree or equivalent in drafting, engineering technology or 13 years of experience in related field.
Proficiency in computeraided design (CAD) software, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Adept, or similar tools.
SolidWorks certification preferred, but not required.
Strong attention to detail and ability to create and interpret precise technical drawings.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Ability to work overtime as requested.

Physical/Travel Requirements

This position requires sitting, typing, and working at a computer station 80% of the time.
Minimum walking or standing and lifting up to 15 lbs. are required.
This position does not require travel.
