General Description:


The primary responsibility of the Production Director is to unify the weekend experience at Crossroads Christian Church by being a champion of the defined wins and clarifying and standardizing our AVL approach, resulting in a consistently elevated level of production excellence across all services.

The person in this role creates successful experiences by pairing the strengths of the campus with the defined wins and training in the weaknesses.


Supervisory Responsibilities:

¦ Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new staff

¦ Oversees the daily workflow of the department

¦ Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations

¦ Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy

¦ Performs other related duties as assigned

¦ Oversees entire Production team campus-wide


Essential Job Functions:


  • Support campus by providing direction and training related to production through on-site training and communications.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with campus production volunteers, specifically team leads.
  • Train, or oversee the training of, production volunteers on AVL environment approach and execution, including setup, operation, and maintenance of equipment.
  • Makes sure there is a competent and skilled tech at every needed AVL position for ALL weekly and special services.
  • Schedule maintenance of equipment and coordinate repairs, and create a plan to order new gear when needed.
  • Take part in all series and special service planning meetings.
  • Create "common procedure" documents to have as a resource across ALL buildings on campus.
  • Create, plan, and schedule central trainings for weekend teams (including worship, tech, producers, etc.)
  • Create, schedule and plan central training to establish consistency across all buildings on campus.

Education and Experience:


  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Threefive years experience working in and leading out in a professional live production environment.
  • Bachelor of Arts in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

Physical Requirements:


  • Must be able to push, pull, and/or lift up to 50 pounds at times.
  • Spend 50% or more of time standing.
