Job Summary:
Description
The Meeting Services department within the Real Estate and Facilities Services function provides turnkey meetings and events support on an internal, and external domestic and international basis (group sizes range from 25 to 2,500 attendees).
You may be eligible for the voluntary hybrid office work (HOW) program that is designed to provide employees with flexibility while maintaining the advantages of in-person engagement.
Job Description:
Your responsibilities may include:
- Turn key coordination and service to internally housed meetings and events
- Active partnership and visible presence in working with contracted food service providers
- Turn key coordination and onsite support for external, offsite meetings and events
- Effectively balance and prioritize duties in a triple function role
- Broker IT support as needed for various meetings and functions
- Ensure safe practices as related to the entire group function
Basic/Required:
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a fulltime basis for anyone other than current employer
- 3 or more years of experience in a hospitality or service field
- Willing and able (with or without reasonable accommodations) to travel 10% of the time on a yearly basis
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in hospitality management, marketing, business administration, related field, or foreign equivalent
- Certified Meeting Planner (CMP) certification
- 1 or more years of experience in the hospitality field at a supervisory/management level
- Ability to successfully multitask in a fastpaced environment with high expectations
- Ability to maintain high discipline towards consistent service excellence efforts under mínimal supervision
- Ability to work varied hours based on business demand
- Strong written/oral communication skills essential with the ability to exhibit flexibility and innovation, spontaneously think/respond quickly
- Generates effective solutions based on available information and makes timely decisions that are safe and ethical
- Delivers results through realistic planning to accomplish goals
- Listens actively and invites new ideas for shared understanding, then influences and acts to drive positive performance and achieve results
