JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB TITLE Events and Development Coordinator
DEPARTMENT Event planning
SCHEDULE Full or Part Time (various days & hours including weekends & holidays)
REPORTS TO Operations Manager
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Description of Duties:
Essential Job Functions
- Research trending ideas for fundraising events and campaigns.
- Communicates and coordinates with event committee members/volunteer coordinator regarding next steps and plans for events
- Acts as the primary contact for major events hosted by SJRAS
- Create digital monthly newsletters & online fundraising campaigns via Constant Contact
- Manage SJRAS's donor database & utilize that database to connect personally with donors on an annual basis.
- Connect with local businesses, contractors & corporations to solicit monetary donations as well as donations of goods and services.
- Engage donors & potential donors through planned giving marketing campaigns.
- Connect with estate planners and the like to promote planned giving for SJRAS.
- Submit a monthly report detailing program performance.
- Perform all other duties or projects as assigned.

Experience:
Animal Welfare: 1 year (preferred)
