As one of the fastest-growing warehousing and logistics companies in North America, we're looking for an experienced
MATERIALS TECHNICIAN who will be responsible for ensuring that material is shipped to the customer in a timely manner, ensuring shipping orders are not delinquent.
- Manage inventory using a Min-Max method.
- Determine inbound windows to ensure a smooth flow of material.
- Maintain the layout for all material received and manage material flow using scanning technology to route and deliver Material.
- Manage returnable containers to suppliers.
- Manage engineering change process to ensure breakpoints are achieved.
- Participate and engage in continuous improvement activities.
- Communicate and interact with internal and external customers to resolve issues.
- Complete weekly layered audits.
- Monitor supplier nonconformance and issue PRRs accordingly.
- Monitor inbound loads for timelines and update materials records.
- Monitor and measure inventory via cycle counting and 4 wall inventory count.
- Work and communicate with customers and Material department to ensure the delivery of parts.
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Warehouse experience (REQUIRED)
- Inventory experience (REQUIRED)
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel (REQUIRED)
- Great communications skills, both verbal and written (REQUIRED)
- Knowledge of SAP (HIGHLY PREFERRED)
- Knowledge of ERP/WMS systems (HIGHLY PREFFERED)
- Lean manufacturing experience (HIGHLY PREFERRED)
