The Vocational Training Center [BTZ] Gießen, as a unit of the Education Center of the Hessian Economy e.

V., is a recognized outpatient facility for vocational rehabilitation according to Section 51 of the German Social Code [SGB IX] for people with mental impairments.

The threefold approach of orientation, qualification, and integration describes the spectrum of our services.


As a special rehabilitation facility for people with mental impairments, we prepare individuals for the demands of the job market and provide services for participation in working life [LTA].

Based on psychological and social stabilization, our rehabilitees are accompanied and supported by a multidisciplinary team consisting of psychologists, social workers, occupational therapists, and vocational trainers.

They work closely with clinics, specialist doctors, psychotherapists, social psychiatric services, self-help and family support groups, as well as partners from the business world.
