About Our Assembly Technician

It's a physical job - you may be on your feet for 90% to 95% of your workday. You will be expected to safely lift and carry items up to 50 pounds. Bending, stretching, and climbing ladders will be daily activities.


Responsibilities:


  • Learn and understand technical specifications, drawings, and be able to follow work instructions; assemble parts into products or systems according to specifications
  • Knowledge of or ability to learn tubing, electrical wiring, and circuits
  • Utilize a pin stamp, acid etch, and laser machine to mark parts according to specifications
  • Provide support in other areas including painting and sandblasting; test products to work order specifications

The Welker team is a diverse and motivated group. These key skills keep our Assembly department running smoothly.


Qualifications:


  • Comfortable in a warehouse setting and working outdoors in areas without climate control; ability to meet the physical requirements of the position
  • One to two years of assembly, mechanical, and/or supply chain experience preferred
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Forklift experience a plus; training and certification provided as needed
This is a full-time position with the occasional opportunity for overtime. Starting salary is within the posted range and based on education, experience, and potential.
