In order to develop precision diagnostics, the lab is interested in delineating mechanisms of resistance to standard-of-care therapeutics and metastasis for mainly ER+ breast cancers with some work on triple-negative breast cancers.
The successful applicant is expected to carry out independent experiments (after any needed hands-on training) and work in collaboration with other members of the laboratory.
Selected methodologies include protein, RNA, and DNA isolation from cancer cells, chromatin immunoprecipitation, RNA-sequencing, immunoblotting, cell culture, and ex vivo patient-derived xenograft (PDX) organoid culture as desirable.
