    Description

    Our Client, a leader in commercial real estate and facilities/asset management is seeking to add a *Lead Building Engineer* to its team.

    This role will work in *Dublin, CA *and *works Monday – Friday, 6am – 4pm. *This is a *contract to hire role* that pays *$31-33 per hour.
    • Upon conversion this role offers increased compensation,an annual bonus plan, and a strong benefit package.
    *Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Leads shift operations and directs vendors and subcontractors.
    • Leads shift operations, assigns work orders, and provides technical guidance and training to coworkers and subcontractors.
    • Coordinates subcontractor activities and oversees their work performance, including inspections.
    • Inspects building systems, such as fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing, ensuring they operate within design parameters and client specifications.
    • Estimates time and materials required for repairs and maintenance tasks.
    • Manages inventory levels of supplies and tools, ordering materials as needed.
    • Collaborates with clients to schedule preventive maintenance activities, minimizing business disruptions.
    • Implements preventive maintenance programs to prolong the lifespan of building machinery and systems.
    • Conducts repairs, emergency responses, and preventive maintenance tasks as assigned.
    • Maintains accurate maintenance and repair records, responding promptly to emergencies.
    • Monitors the VMS system, with ALC experience being advantageous.
    • Conducts fire life and safety inspections.
    • Performs physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy loads and climbing stairs/ladders.
    *Education and Experience:
    • Minimum of 5 years' experience in complete building operations within a commercial property setting.
    • Additional certification in one or more relevant areas (HVAC, electrical, mechanical, etc.).
    • Proficiency in using personal computers, PDAs, and software systems for work orders, email, and training.
    • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office Outlook.
