    Description


    One of InfraRec's best clients are looking to take applications from Transmission Line Design Engineer/Graduates fresh out of college and looking for a step into the industry.

    Reporting directly to the Transmission Manager, this role offers the opportunity to independently design and analyze power line systems up to 345 kV.

    Familiarity with PLS-CADD, structural design, and foundation design software is crucial for success in this position.

    This position offers the chance for 1 to 1 mentoring.


    Responsibilities:
    Design and analyze overhead transmission lines, ensuring appropriate clearances and collaborating with engineers, technicians, and client personnel.
    Efficiently manage individual projects and lead project teams on larger efforts.
    Create material breakdown sheets and develop construction bid packages, aiding in estimating job costs.
    Stay current on applicable codes and standards (RUS, NESC, ASCE).
    Prepare, review, and stamp documents and drawings, including specifications, design criteria, construction documents, and as-builts.
    Cultivate and improve client relationships.


    Skills and Qualifications:
    BS in Civil or Mechanical engineering from an ABET accredited university.
    0-3 years of experience in electric utility transmission line design.
    Knowledge of foundation design concepts and software (MFAD and LPILE preferred).
    Willingness to travel approximately 30% annually and work extended hours when required.
