The Phoenix Underwater Ship Husbandry (UWSH) Equipment Manager - Virginia reports to the Project Manager for equipment and personnel assigned to UWSH.

The Phoenix UWSH Equipment Manager will be located in Williamsburg, VA.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Manages the annually funded equipment maintenance Delivery Order (DO).
  • Coordinates scheduled annual maintenance, as well as Preventive Maintenance (PM) and repairs in connection with UWSH operations.
  • Coordinates storage, shipping, and receiving of UWSH equipment.
  • Coordinates with other departments for support, including Supply, Shipping/Receiving, Personnel, Purchasing, Accounting, as required.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:


  • Undergraduate degree or higher from an accredited university (or an additional five years of equivalent experience as described below).
  • Five years of experience in the management of scheduled maintenance, repair, and warehousing of marine or industrial equipment. Experience directly related to underwater ship repair equipment is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to estimate time and cost to perform equipment maintenance and repair tasks and to monitor scheduled performance against such tasks.
  • Ability to pass a preemployment drug/alcohol screen and background check, as required.
