The Job
Seeking licensed Unarmed Security Officers for contract assignment in Austin.


Responsibilities

• Detect suspicious behavior and deter vandalism, theft and other criminal behavior.
• Regular roving patrols of the site to maintain order, establish presence, deter crime, and report site status, observations, and incidents.
• Remain observant and alert at all times.
• Take appropriate action upon detection of suspicious or unauthorized activity.
• Dissemination and coordination of information and notification in the event of a security or safety incident per post orders including summoning of law enforcement if required and appropriate.
• Utilize rapid and effective judgment in responding to unusual or emergency situations.
• Report safety concerns, security breaches and unusual circumstances both verbally and in writing.

Requirements and Skills

• Licensed as level II noncommissioned security officer or higher with Texas Public Safety Private Security Bureau. Must meet and continue to meet all state license requirements.
• Ability to patrol grounds, detect danger, and take appropriate action.
• Effective oral and written communication, including writing incident and site status reports.
• Able to maintain professionalism and decorum at all times, even under difficult circumstances.
• Must have a reliable means of communication. Must own smartphone with working camera.
• Must have reliable means of transportation.
• Must be punctual and reliable.

$ $18.00 per hour

• Texas Unarmed Security License (Level II) (required)
• Texas Armed Security Officer License (Level III) (preferred)
• Texas Personal Protection Officer License (Level IV) (preferred)
