    Minimum 1+ years occupational therapy experience required.

    We are actively seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist for a full-time contract position in Clute, TX. We are conducting interviews for this school-based role. The ideal candidate will have a passion forworking with special education students and their families.

    Requirements:

    • Hold a valid Occupational Therapist license issued by the state of Texas.
    • Possess a Master's degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
    • Completion of supervised fieldwork as required by state regulations.
    • Familiarity with local and state regulations governing occupational therapy practice in school settings.
    • Experience working with special education students and their families is highly preferred.

    Job Duties:

    • Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine students' functional abilities, strengths, and areas of need.
    • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and interventions based on assessment findings and student IEPs.
    • Provide direct occupational therapy services to students in both individual and group settings, focusing on improving functional performance and promoting independence.
    • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other members of the educational team to integrate therapy goals into students' educational plans.
    • Monitor and document student progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to address evolving needs and goals.
    • Participate in IEP meetings and other multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress, goals, and recommendations.
    • Stay abreast of current research, best practices, and evidence-based interventions in the field of occupational therapy.
    • Advocate for the inclusion and accessibility of students with disabilities within the school community.
