Description
Position summary:
Responsible for preparing and testing fluoropolymer materials (synthetic rubber and plastic) to ensure the product meets established quality standards.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Utilize laboratory mixing, molding, and test equipment to support quality control, development projects, and customer requirements.
- Material preparation to include material weighup and mixing in lab Banburys and mills.
- Test specimen preparation to include Brabender, lab presses, postcure ovens, and diecutting.
- Lab testing of materials to include Rheometer, Tensile & Tear Die, Durometer, Specific Gravity, Compression Set and other tests as required per the Lab Skills Matrix.
- Adhere to procedures for product approval and rejection as appropriate.
- Maintain test data in a database.
- Coordinate assigned lab work to ensure timely completion of requests.
- Comply with all laboratory rules and regulations including health, cleanliness, and safety policies.
- Other duties as requested.

Qualities:
- Ability to work in a fastpaced, teamoriented environment.
- Must be detailoriented.
- Basic math, science, and language skills are required.
Experience and Education:
- High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate)
- Previous experience in test laboratory and production environments is preferred.
Pay:
From $22.50 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
