Project Architect experienced in all aspects of the design process in general construction projects across NYC.
New York, NY.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Performing code and constructability reviews of conceptual and design documents.
- Analyze all technical aspects of construction.
- Conduct quality assurance and quality control on projects
- Review and recommending major construction changes to the Client, as necessary.
- Interface in a project team setting through all phases of architectural document production.
- Correspond with the client, designer, contractor and operation staff.
- Perform additional responsibilities as necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in architecture or engineering.
- Minimum of
6 years of experience in building codes and systems, with experience in commercial construction projects relating to office buildings and public spaces. - Proper understanding of architectural disciplines related to building design and construction drawings: Site, Architecture, Structural, HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Fire Protection systems.
- Must have basic knowledge of applicable codes and regulations in NYC and NYS.
- Strong and effective communication skills, both oral and written
- Comprehensive computer skills, proficient in MS Suite, and ability & interest to learn various inhouse and external software (Share Point, eBuilder, etc.)
Pay:
$110, $130,000.00 per year
