    Position Summary

    The Manager, Supply Chain Policy will report to the Vice President, Supply Chain & Manufacturing, and work with the greater policy department to advance ACP's policy and advocacy agenda.

    This role plays a pivotal part in identifying and tracking supply chain and domestic manufacturing initiatives and updates critical to ACP's objectives.

    The Manager will be responsible for policy analysis, project management of strategic supply chain policy initiatives, and building and managing relationships with key external groups that directly influence industry policy decisions and ACP's organizational goals.

    This individual will also work closely with key internal stakeholders such as the Vice President, Trade & International Competitiveness and the Markets & Policy Analysis team as it relates to supply chain related projects.

    This position offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with key renewable energy industry stakeholders and actively contribute to international, national, and regional initiatives to move forward the clean power industry.

    The Manager will collaborate with all levels of staff within ACP, across all departments and disciplines, working with subject matter experts to dissect technical information and inform the US renewable energy transition.

    The industry is a fast paced, emerging space and ACP's policy team reflects that and manages priorities accordingly.

    The Manager will need to have excellent written and verbal communication skills, the ability to juggle simultaneous projects, and thrive in a collaborative, high performing environment.

    Expand ACP's subject matter expertise on supply chain policy and issues impacting the U

    S clean energy industries by:


    Add to and maintain ACP's knowledge base on clean energy supply issues, specifically in the areas of domestic manufacturing, critical minerals and carbon border measures.

    Analyze proposed regulations, legislation, or issue-related reports and prepare analysis/communications for Supply Chain/Trade VPs.

    Help build and maintain relationships with related government offices, other trade associations, NGOs, ACP member companies, and other thought leaders in the issue space.


    Support ACP's policymaking and advocacy efforts by:
    Assist in content development for policymaker audiences, including development of audience-specific messaging and preparation of talking points/slide decks/fact sheets.
    Assist in developing potential industry positions and recommendations, along with supporting evidence and arguments.
    Participate in outreach with regulatory and issue audiences.
    Manage relevant projects within ACP and with ACP members/member committees by assisting with:
    Developing agendas and member communications.
    Responding to member questions and requests.
    Assist in the development and execution of strategic plans by:
    Tracking major actions and activities to ensure the team is on track to meet strategic plan commitments.
    Help identify needed adjustments and emerging challenges or opportunities that need to be addressed.
    Serve as an internal resource for ACP-wide initiatives by:

    Providing technical input and recommendations on supply chain policies to other ACP Teams, including State Affairs, Federal Affairs, Events, Marketing, and Communications.

    Apply issue and audience expertise to assist with ACP-wide initiatives, such as partnering with the event programming team to scope and build content for ACP conferences.

    Education, Experience, Skills
    Bachelor's degree in public policy, energy, political science, economics or related field required.

    4+ years relevant work experience in a policy or regulatory role at a trade association, government entity or clean energy manufacturer or purchaser.

    Demonstrated knowledge of clean energy and relevant public policies.
    Exposure to clean energy or commodity supply chains and manufacturing, and associated policies and challenges.

    Ability to take technical information and research and make effective oral and written presentations emphasizing technical material to diverse audiences.

    Capacity to work collaboratively as a team player, while also identifying and resolving problems independently, across ACP staff, ACP members and outside stakeholders.

    Strong oral and written communication skills, including proof-reading and editing skills, adaptable to various technical audiences.

    Excellent prioritization and multitasking abilities, with the capacity to efficiently complete a variety of tasks, find creative solutions to issues, and ability to take ownership of their work.

    Demonstrated knowledge of computer software applications, such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
    Effective interpersonal skills for collaborative teamwork.

    We reasonably believe that the base salary range for this position is $75, ,000.
