Purpose

To provide administrative assistance to the HR office of Applied Research Laboratories.


Responsibilities:


  • Prepare all new hire documentation including data entry into ARL's internal management database/reporting system (IRIS), preparation of onboarding packets and processing paperwork after internal ARL orientation.
  • Provide administrative support to the ARL HR Operations team by completing special projects as needed.
  • Scanning terminated employee files and filing as needed.
  • Intensive review and data entry of career fair resumes and entry in the ARL HR Career Fair SharePoint site for use by hiring managers.
  • Cross train with ARL HR Operations team to be able to assist with routine tasking in order to be able provide additional coverage in the ARL HR office as needed.
  • Other related miscellaneous clerical functions as assigned.
Required Qualifications

  • High School graduation or GED.
  • Three years of general administrative experience.
  • Demonstrated ability with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Impeccable data entry and quality control verification of entries.
  • Highly skilled in tracking and prioritizing daily tasks.
  • Demonstrated high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal customer service and communication (written and verbal) skills.
  • Motivation and desire to learn more about the Human Resources field.
  • Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.


Ability to work independently with sensitive and confidential information, maintain a professional demeanor, work as a team member without daily supervision and effectively communicate with all groups of clients.

Able to work under pressure and accept supervision. Flexibility to adjust to changing priorities and deadlines. Regular and punctual attendance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in HR or related discipline.
  • Experience working in a busy human resources office with frequent interruptions.
  • Workday experience specifically with HR functions such as onboarding.
  • Demonstrated ability to be able to adjust to workload and process large amounts of paperwork and online information in a short time period when necessary.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of UT policies, administrative forms and benefits.

An agency designated by the federal government handles the investigation as to the requirement for eligibility for access to classified information.

Factors considered during this investigation include but are not limited to allegiance to the United States, foreign influence, foreign preference, criminal conduct, security violations, drug involvement, the likelihood of continuation of such conduct, etc.

Salary Range

$37,500-$42,000+/negotiable depending on qualifications.
