- Strong phone presence with both current and prospective clients. Some "cold calling" may be required but more "warm lead" calls as we respond to inquiries made on our website or via email
- Conduct sales calls to client base with efficient information gathering along with follow up to build rapport and secure business contracts
- Track and analyze sales performance metrics to optimize strategy and achieve targets
- Conduct market research to identify trends, competitors and potential opportunities for expansion
- Make recommendations for new lead sources as knowledge and familiarity with the industry develop
- Collaborate with the internal team to develop proposals and presentations to prospective clients, highlighting the benefits and value of our services
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients by understanding their needs and ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction
- Attend industry events, conferences and network functions to build relationships and establish new business opportunities
- Some travel within the U.S. may be required
- Bachelor's degree and/or 2+ years relevant sales or business development experience
- Proven track record of successfully identifying and closing new business opportunities
- Understanding of transportation and logistics industry is a plus
- Proficiency in CRM software (Salesforce) is a plus
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Self-motivated with problem solving skills
- Adaptable and able to excel in fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple projects at once
- Base salary + commission
- The ideal candidate understands the nature of our business is not 9-5 and is willing to work extended/flexible hours as needed
- This position will require candidate to primarily work from the office, but some work-from-home flexibility is included
- Some travel may be required for this role
- PTO is flexible once training is complete and performance expectations are being met
