- Fabricate parts and sub-assemblies with precision.
- Inspect parts thoroughly to maintain quality standards.
- Set up machines, design tools and jigs, and ensure their maintenance.
- Plan workloads efficiently and make sound decisions.
- Utilize blueprints and interpret sketches or verbal instructions effectively.
- Conduct visual inspections of incoming items.
- Demonstrate proficiency in standard measurements and the properties of various metals and alloys.
- Prepare for and execute soldering operations under different conditions.
- Clean and prepare parts and subassemblies for fabrication.
- Align and join workpieces accurately using hand tools or fixtures.
- Perform grinding, cutting, buffing, or bending tasks as needed.
- Exposure to various chemicals may require safety precautions.
- Utilization of a range of machines, including CNC equipment, saws, lathes, drills, and grinders.
- Occasional use of personal computers for data entry.
- Physical activities such as lifting, bending, and standing are integral to the role.
- Working conditions may be noisy and dirty at times.
- 2-5 year of fabrication experience required.
- Basic knowledge of shop mathematics, including trigonometry.
- Familiarity with fabrication equipment, setups, and practices.
- Strong communication skills.
- 3D CAD software preferred.
