Bella Terra Home Health and Hospice of the Desert is growing and looking for experienced, compassionate Hospice Aide (HHA) to join our team As a Hospice Aide with Bella Terra, you will have the opportunity to advance your career while receiving strong compensation and excellent benefits.
JOB SUMMARY
The Hospice is a paraprofessional member of the home care team who works under the supervision of a registered nurse or therapist and performs various personal care services as necessary to meet the patient's needs.
- Provide Personal Care
- Assist patients with dressing and undressing
- Nail & Skin care to prevent breakdown
- Assist the patient with toileting activities
- Keep patient's living area clean and orderly
- Plan and prepare nutritious meals
- Assist in feeding the patient
- Take and record oral, rectal and axillary temperatures, pulse, respiration and blood pressure
- Assist in ambulation and exercise according to the plan of care
- Perform range of motion and other simple procedures as an extensional therapy service
- Assist patient in the selfadministration of medication
- Do patient's laundry
- Meet safety needs of patients and using equipment safely and properly (foot stools,
- Report on patient's condition and significant changes to the assigned nurse
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Active Home Health Aide Certification through CA Department of Public Health
- Maintain a current CPR certification
- Hospice experience preferred
- Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state or organization requirements and is in good working order
