What you'll be responsible for:


You will be responsible for helping tell the story of the JUF Young Families team to the broader community through newsletters, social media, and other outreach efforts.

This is a part-time, 20-25 hours per week position that comes into the office at least two days per week.

The annual salary for this role is $22,000-$25,000.


What you'll be doing:


  • Produce the two newsletters that JUF Young Families sends out to the community: a biweekly newsletter and a monthly newsletter.
  • Create content and manage JUF Young Families social media accounts on Facebook and Instagram for both jBaby Chicago and PJ Library Chicago.
  • Create materials for JUF Young Families events such as signage, posters, and additional program print resources.
  • Coordinate outreach efforts with Jewish and secular partners (i.e., bathroom baskets, holiday gift baskets).
  • Work in partnership with JUF's Marketing department as needed.

What you need to succeed:


  • REQUIRED:
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, written, and oral communication skills
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office Suite of Products and Database entry
  • Proficient in Canva, Constant Contact, or other communication/marketing platforms
  • PREFERRED:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • Knowledge of the unique needs of families with young children
  • Experience working in Salesforce
  • Valid driver's license
  • Knowledge of Chicago, the Chicago Jewish community, and services provided by JUF and its beneficiary agencies
