Description
Many production processes require the use of compressed air to a high degree. Due to the production and the associated constant wear and tear of the equipment, compressed air leaks inevitably occur, leading to increased consumption of compressed air. Many of the production systems are already equipped with comprehensive energy measurement technology. The existing measurement technology and data are now to be used for real-time detection of compressed air leaks in production machines. To carry out this project, the department "Energy, Buildings and Infrastructure" is offering the thesis "Real-time monitoring of compressed air leaks in industrial production machines" for Wilroads Gardens.

Your tasks:

  • Identification of existing approaches in the field of real-time detection of compressed air leaks
  • Collection and processing of machine data, especially energy and media consumption, as well as statistical analysis of the available data
  • Development of a key figure-based approach for real-time monitoring of compressed air leaks
  • Development of models for identifying typical consumption patterns and limits, as well as their evaluation
  • Integration of the developed models into the production environment for real-time detection of compressed air leaks in close cooperation with production engineers and IT specialists

Your profile:

  • Studies in the field of engineering, such as mechanical engineering, mechatronics or comparable courses of study
  • Aff
