Job Summary:


Under the direction of ITS Technical Services leadership, supports the End User Computing team by installing, configuring, and monitoring all end user computing devices, including desktops, laptops, thin clients, and LMC provided mobile devices.

Participates in timely completion of ITS projects. Installs new hardware and software. Replaces hardware as appropriate. Works collaboratively with teammates, other ITS groups, business units, customers, etc.


Minimum Qualifications:


Minimum Education:
High School Diploma or Equivalent

Minimum Years of Experience: 4 years of experience supporting end-user technologies in an enterprise environment

Substitutable Education & Experience:4 years of experience can be substituted for an Associate's Degree with 2 Years of related experience

Required Certifications/Licensure:
CCNA,MCP, MCTS, or equivalent certification required. (Area of work will classify which of the above certifications are applicable)


Required Training:
Windows 10/11;

Basic M365 functionality;
Experience supporting end user devices;
Hardware / software troubleshooting skills;
Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within IT field;
Proficiency in end-user devices and network technologies.


Essential Functions:


  • Support the mission of Lexington Medical Center
  • Provide front line support for day to day issues escalated to the End User Computing Team
  • Escalates calls to appropriate staff or management as appropriate
  • Install, configure, and maintain organization's enduser technologies, including desktops, laptops, thin clients, and LMCprovided mobile devices.
  • Support hospital, medical staff office, and remote users.
  • Utilize LexSupport System to capture details of every support request
  • Communicate system changes with appropriate stakeholders as defined by ITS Change Management Policy and Procedures documents
  • Maintain an optimistic, professional, careeroriented demeanor; exemplify excellent customer relations toward patients, visitors, physicians, and coworkers. Is accountable for conformity to the LMC Service Expectation Policy and IS working agreements.

Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Create and maintain detailed documentation on supported platforms
  • Attend business and technical meetings as appropriate.
  • Ability to explain basic IT concepts to nonIT users
  • Address security vulnerabilities in a timely fashion and coordinate with InfoSec team as appropriate
  • Relies on instructions and preestablished guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
  • Periodically attends continuing education courses (internal regulation/professional development/selfimprovement) Performs all other duties as assigned by authorized personnel or as required in an emergency, e.g., fire or disaster.
