What will you be doing in this role?

The Clinical Partner (CP), under the direction of a licensed care giver, and after education and demonstration of competency, performs a variety of direct patient care activities or tasks specific to the unit/needs of the patient population. The CP maintains competency skills including the ability to provide care to special patient populations and patients with diverse cultural backgrounds. The CP can identify the ability of the adolescent, adult and geriatric patient to follow directions/instructions. The CP can identify safety concerns in the age related population and institutes additional measures to provide a safe environment; and identify developmental milestones in the age related population.The CP will support with transfers/discharging patients via wheelchair, gurney, bed and other special beds (i.e. Clinitron bed, etc) with appropriate supplies and equipments, perform procedures such as dispensing/retrieving bedpans, using skin care products/pressure relieving devices and applying anti-embolic hose.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• California Certified Nursing Assistant Certification (CNA).
• Basic Life Support (BLS), by the American Heart Association or The American Red Cross.
• Minimum of one (1) year previous experience as a Licensed CNA in an acute care facility, (hospital or medical center strongly preferred) or long-term-care hospital (convalescent, skilled nurse facility or physical rehabilitation center), preferred.
• Full command of the English language, both written and verbal, sufficient to carry out the duties identified in this job description.
