Description
The historic Culver Hotel is looking for an On-Call Banquet Server. The Banquet Server is responsible for friendly and efficient service and completion of banquet meals and events. This position requires extensive interaction with both banquet colleagues and clients throughout their events.


JOB OVERVIEW

  • Provide warm, friendly and accommodating service during all events
  • Prepare and execute events, to include plated functions, reception stations and breaks, according to Banquet Event Order (BEO) and department standards
  • Ensure all events are set and ready at least 15 minutes prior to start time
  • Comply with all client requests for additional equipment and supplies and convey the additional charge to the guest and Banquet Manager
  • Display good guest relations skills and take the initiative to greet guests in a friendly manner
  • Set up and clean all meeting and meal function rooms in accordance with company and hotel specifications
  • Freshen all meeting rooms during meal breaks
  • Maintain the quality and consistency of the guest experience
  • Liaise with all hotel departments to represent banquet operations
  • Maintain compliance with departmental policies, procedures, and standards
  • Complete other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:


  • Experience in a luxury or lifestyle hospitality environment preferred
  • Strong verbal and nonverbal communication skills
  • Proactive attitude with strong organizational and time management skills
  • Work flexible schedules and willing and able to work shift duties that may include evenings, nights, weekends and holidays
  • Collaborate with Colleagues crossdepartmentally
  • Perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy
  • Work cohesively with Colleagues as part of a team
