Bellini at Mr.C Coconut Grove is looking to hire a Grill Cook to join our kitchen staff and maintain cleanliness around our restaurant.

From the fourth generation hospitality leaders, brothers Ignazio and Maggio Cipriani, comes Mr. C Miami Coconut Grove. An oasis within bustling South Florida surrounded by breathtaking views of Biscayne Bay and the Coconut Grove skyline. Designed by the world-renowned architecture firm Arquitectonica, the hotel's interior features a nautical motif by Martin Brudnizki Design Studio.
A total of 100 guestrooms and suites with private outdoor terraces, a new Italian dining concept with indoor and outdoor seating and its rooftop Bellini Restaurant and Bar provide guests with attentive European service, complimented by luxury accommodations and amenities.
YOUR ROLE AS A GRILL COOK
We are looking for Grill cooks that will be responsible for preparing and grilling foods to meet specific customer preferences, and they're often required to handle tasks in other areas of the kitchen in addition to their grill stations
Ultimately, you will contribute to delivering a pleasant dining experience for our guests.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES:
Keeping track of meal prep components to ensure timely completion of final dishes
Chopping and preparing vegetables and other non-meat ingredients
Stocking ingredients and kitchen supplies
Maintaining clean and sanitized workstations
Checking perishable ingredients and food items for freshness
Understanding of portions when cutting and slicing meat, poultry and seafood
Comprehension skills when reading order tickets and recipes
Hand-eye coordination when using kitchen tools and cooking utensils
Taking daily measures to prevent food cross-contamination
Maintain a clean station at all times
REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS:
Work experience as a Grill cook or similar role
Willingness to work as a team player when preparing dishes and coordinating meal service
Organizational skills to maintain an orderly workspace and kitchen
Hands-on experience with professional kitchen equipment
Good knowledge of food plating techniques
Understanding of health and safety rules in a kitchen
Physical stamina and the ability to stand for extended periods of time when cooking and preparing food
Willingness to work required shifts, i.e., night shift, breakfast rush, including evenings and weekends
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
A degree from a culinary school is a plus
