    Description

    Sandusky Community Schools is seeking a qualified candidate for a custodian position. This position will require the availability of flexible hours as needed and all training is provided.

    Duties:

    General Cleaning

    Mopping and complete floor care

    Cleaning windows

    Replacing light bulbs

    Shoveling snow

    Minor repairs

    Moving equipment and materials within and between school buildings

    Communicate problems through the appropriate chain of command

    Follow all board policies and all federal, state, and local Safety/code requirements

    Requirements:

    High school diploma or GED

    Able to pass criminal background check with fingerprinting, and drug/alcohol testing per state requirements and district policies

    Able to lift at least 50 pounds

    Knowledge of safe work habits and practices

    Able to determine what is needed to complete assigned tasks, skillfully and efficiently

    Available for any work assignment as deemed necessary to resolve problems within the district, including working overtime, weekends, or holidays

    Able to work in a team to resolve problems in a manner that is productive and beneficial to the district, while building relationships with co-workers and other district staff

    Must be responsive, courteous, helpful, and support the overall goals of the district
