- Clean and prepare patient exam, consultation, and operating rooms
- Regularly check and maintain cleanliness, organization, and stock levels
- Prepare and organize surgery/procedure rooms
- Take clinical photographs
- Provide preoperative and postoperative patient care
- Assist with bandaging, wound care, and suture removal
- Manage pharmacy inventory
- Order and restock supplies and surgical equipment
- Review patient charts
- Prepare patients for appointments and procedures
- Record accurate patient vitals
- Help dress patients as required
- Escort patients during transitions
- Educate patients on pre and post procedure care
- Wheelchair patient transportation within the office and to vehicles
- Handle laundry for scrubs, towels, and blankets
- Follow safe medical waste disposal practices
- Adhere to universal precautions and OSHA standards
- Complete assigned projects/duties
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Medical Assistant or related healthcare degree
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Experience in recording patient vital signs
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Updated immunization records
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Basic computer proficiency with Google and Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds

About UsOne of the top specialty surgical practices in the Pacific Northwest is expanding its team. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience as a Medical Assistant, with surgical training provided to leverage your prior healthcare background in a new career path.
OverviewAs a Medical Assistant, you will join a team of clinical professionals handling routine administrative and clinical tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the office and support the practitioners. You must be adaptable to assist with patient exams, procedures, and follow physician instructions.
Responsibilities
Qualifications and Skills
Schedule: 40-hour work week from Monday to Thursday, between 6:00 AM - 8:00 PM
Compensation: $24.00 per hour
We provide employees with weekly pay through direct deposit, and eligible benefits include health insurance (Kaiser), accrued paid sick time (Oregon Paid Sick Leave), and retirement options (OregonSaves).
