- Program Management:
- Develop and implement age-appropriate educational programs and activities for children.
- Ensure compliance with relevant licensing regulations and standards.
- Oversee the daily operations of the child care center.
- Staff Supervision:
- Recruit, hire, and train qualified child care staff.
- Provide leadership and supervision to teachers, assistants, and other staff members.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback.
- Parent Communication:
- Establish and maintain effective communication with parents or guardians.
- Organize parent meetings and conferences to discuss children's progress and address concerns.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Maintain a safe and secure environment for children.
- Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations.
- Conduct regular drills for emergency procedures.
- Budgeting and Financial Management:
- Develop and manage the child care center's budget.
- Monitor expenses, allocate resources efficiently, and report on financial performance.
- Curriculum Development:
- Work with teachers to create and update educational curriculum.
- Foster a learning environment that supports the developmental needs of children.
- Community Engagement:
- Establish positive relationships with the community and local organizations.
- Plan and coordinate events or activities involving parents and the community.
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.
- Previous experience in a leadership role within a child care or educational setting.
- Knowledge of licensing regulations and early childhood education best practices.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team of child care professionals.
- First Aid and CPR certification may be required.
