The Times of Northwest Indiana, a division of Lee Enterprises, covering a market heavily influenced by the culinary styles and traditions of nearby Chicago, seeks a food enthusiast with journalistic chops to expose the fun and flavorful layers of our region's best, most popular restaurants and the culinary genius and personalities behind the food.

Northwest Indiana is home to several vibrant downtown food scenes that boast a diverse array of modern, international and gourmet fare.

From trendy gastropubs and world-class breweries and distilleries to white tablecloth restaurants, rich stories are waiting to be told.

Successful applicants will have a proven track record for feature writing and reporting and an undying passion for all things food and drink.

At least three years of writing or reporting experience and enthusiasm and experience for incorporating video into storytelling are preferred.
