Join our team We have an excellent full-time opportunity for an experienced Surgery Scheduling Coordinator for a fast-paced specialist office.
This position will primarily be working out of our South location. This is an excellent career growth opportunityEstablished in 1969, Austin ENT Clinic is one of the nation's leading Ear, Nose, and Throat clinics. Our physicians specialize in otolaryngologic care for pediatric and adult patients at locations across the greater Austin area.
Our practice features state-of-the-art care for ear, nose, and throat problems, hearing loss, environmental allergies, sinus, and head and neck surgery.
We offer a variety of highly specialized procedures that utilize the latest medical technology.- Schedule surgical procedures accurately and efficiently
- Coordinate preoperative tests and appointments for patients
- Communicate surgery details, preparation instructions, and postoperative care information to patients
- Obtain necessary authorizations from insurance companies for surgical procedures
- Maintain electronic medical records and ensure all documentation is accurate and uptodate
- Collaborate with medical staff to optimize surgery schedules and patient flow
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, addressing inquiries and concerns promptly
Experience:
- Previous experience in a medical setting, preferably in surgery scheduling or a related role
- Proficiency with medical scheduling software and electronic health records systems
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality protocols
- Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to multitask in a fastpaced environment
