Position Summary:


Essential Duties / Responsibilities:


Maintain inventory at needed levels in depots and terminals by comparing inventory and booking levels to ensure equipment can meet export demands.

Perform equipment confirmation and release at depots and terminals by confirming in corresponding systems to ensure customers can pick up and return equipment for export bookings.

Aim to reduce the empty idle time throughout the coordinator's region by communicating with depots and terminals, port operations departments, and m&r to keep a fluid inventory and minimize terminal storage.

Maximize off-hire and on-hire program by communicating with leasing companies and HO Logistics to return and/ or pick up equipment from the depots and terminals to enhance logístical operations and target cost saving initiatives.

Rebill misuses of empty units returning to incorrect locations. Conversing with other shipping lines regarding subleasing of units.

Provide immediate problem resolution for internal and external customers by identifying the dilemma and strategizing a solution to ensure excellent customer service.

Propose counts for vessel loadback including targeting idles, projected volumes, and damaged units and assist with preparation for vessel loadback and planning.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Knowledge of shipping industry
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Access


Education and Experience Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
1+ year of general experience required.
