ABOUT PREMIER VISION ASSOCIATES
We are a fun, employee-oriented organization based in Ophthalmology (eye care). We serve patients looking to improve their vision thereby improving the quality of their life. We are looking for a full time front desk member who is a motivated and energetic individual.

SUMMARY:


First and most importantly, answers phone calls with enthusiasm and warmth In addition, greets, instructs and informs patients in completion of appropriate forms, waiting times, and answers questions.

Checks patients in/out, verifies demographic and health plan information and accurately enters it into the chart, collects payments, and schedule patient appointments.

Performs office duties as directed including taking messages, opening mail, assisting in retrieval of medical charts, chart preparation, charge entry, etc.

In addition, scheduling surgeries and basic patient workup are will be part of the job duties.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Answers calls with warmth and enthusiasm, takes accurate and detailed messages for all calls including telephone encounters, directs calls to appropriate support staff
  • Acknowledges and welcomes patients and visitors.
  • Answers general questions about the facility: location, rest rooms, elevators, hours of operation, etc.
  • Ensures waiting area is clean, tidy, and has appropriate patient announcements and brochures.
  • Checks patients in and out of clinic.
  • Schedules appointments and surgeries
  • Prepares charts to clinic and/or Practice specifications
  • Collects copays, cash, check, or credit card payments ensuring patients receive receipts.
  • Crosstrained to perform special testing and basic patient workup
  • Balances daily cash and collections.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:


  • Prefer one year experience in
    customer service setting doesn't have to be in a medical office but always a bonus.
  • Able to type a minimum of 45 wpm strongly preferred

EDUCATION and / or CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE:

High school diploma or GED


Pay:
$ $22.00 per hour
