This role is managed by Samuel Knight Energy, the leader in renewable energy recruitment.
Vice President of Project Construction - Solar (Electrical)

This role is ideally placed for an experienced field operative who has worked their way through organizational sturctures; an electrician or electrical engineer who has worked on, supervised and managed the completion of Solar PV panel installation.

This is a "hands-on" executive role which will require no more than 50% travel.

Join our client's growing EPC business as Vice President of Construction and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of solar energy.

Our company specializes in building community and medium-market solar PV plants, and we're looking for a dynamic leader who thrives in a challenging, hands-on work environment.

This is more than a 40-hour work week position and requires an individual with a passion for creating a truly special organization.

You will be part of a team that values growth, both organically and through acquisitions, with potential share options available in 2025.

This is not a presiding role but rather an opportunity for someone ready to contribute actively to the success of the company.

The ideal candidate will have a strong electrical installation background and field-based experience, including hands-on work in the field.

    Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage project managers, construction managers, and W2 workers across multiple solar PV sites in the eastern states and as far west as Michigan and Illinois.

Implement and maintain high standards of quality and safety throughout all construction projects.
Lead the planning, execution, and completion of construction projects, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
Drive continuous improvement in construction processes and techniques to enhance efficiency and productivity.
Manage the allocation of resources, including materials and labor, to optimize project outcomes.
Travel to project sites for on-site supervision and to support teams in the field (50% travel, 50% remote).

    Necessary Experience:
Hands-on experience in electrical installation, specifically in the field of solar PV construction.
Proven track record in managing construction teams and projects, with a strong focus on quality and safety.
Demonstrated ability to lead teams in a fast-paced, challenging environment.
Experience with budgeting, resource allocation, and project management tools.
    Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

A background that includes starting from a field environment and working your way up, with electrical installation experience as a key asset.

This position offers the opportunity to be part of a hard-working leadership team committed to excellence in solar PV construction.

It is an aspiring role with significant potential for growth and advancement within the company.
The salary for this position is up to $200,000.

If you are a dedicated, results-oriented leader with a passion for renewable energy and a desire to contribute to the success of a growing business, we invite you to apply.

We are seeking someone who has worked their way up from a field environment, bringing hands-on electrical installation experience to the table.

Help us create a sustainable future while building a career full of opportunities.
