    Field Service Engineer

    Location:

    Contract Type: 12-month contract

    Hourly Rate:
    $35-$45, dependent on experience

    The Green Recruitment Company is excited to announce a fantastic opportunity for a Field Service Engineer to join a leading team in the renewable energy sector, focusing on Utility Scale Solar PV Sites in Providence, Rhode Island.

    This 12-month contract offers an hourly rate between $35 and $45, depending on your experience, and is perfect for someone passionate about making a difference in the world of sustainable energy.


    About the Role:


    As a Field Service Engineer, you will be instrumental in the maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of large-scale solar PV installations.

    Your technical expertise will ensure these systems operate at peak efficiency, directly contributing to the sustainability goals of the region.

    This role involves significant hands-on work and problem-solving in various outdoor settings around Providence.

    Key Responsibilities:
    Conduct detailed inspections and preventive maintenance on solar PV systems to ensure optimal performance.

    Diagnose and repair faults in solar installations quickly and efficiently to minimize downtime.

    Monitor and analyze system performance and suggest improvements or modifications.

    Work collaboratively with project management teams to integrate best practices and innovations in field service operations.

    Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all service activities, including detailed reports and performance logs.

    Provide technical support and guidance to customers, ensuring they are informed and satisfied with the services provided.


    Requirements:
    Proven experience as a Field Service Engineer, ideally within the solar energy or related renewable energy sector.

    Strong technical acumen with an ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues effectively.

    Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a knack for clear and effective customer interaction.

    Flexibility to travel across the Providence area and adapt to variable outdoor environments.

    A technical degree or certification in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy Systems, or related fields is highly desirable.
