    Our client a large non-profit is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Finance to oversee all financial aspects of our organization.

    The Director of Finance will play a crucial role in ensuring the effective stewardship of our financial resources, supporting the strategic goals of the organization, and maintaining the highest standards of fiscal responsibility and transparency.

    Responsibilties


    Financial Planning and Analysis:
    Develop and implement comprehensive financial plans, budgets, and forecasts aligned with the foundation's strategic objectives.

    Conduct regular financial analysis and reporting to assess the financial performance of the organization and provide insights to the executive team and the Board of Directors.


    Financial Operations Management:
    Manage day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions.

    Establish and maintain robust internal controls and financial policies to safeguard the organization's assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.


    Grant Management and Reporting:
    Oversee the financial administration of grants and contracts, including budget development, expenditure tracking, and reporting to funders and stakeholders.
    Collaborate with program managers and development teams to ensure accurate and timely reporting on grant-funded activities and outcomes.

    Audit and Compliance:


    Coordinate the annual audit process and serve as the primary liaison with external auditors to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory guidelines.

    Implement recommendations from auditors and monitor internal controls to mitigate financial risks and enhance operational efficiency.

    Strategic Financial Leadership:


    Provide strategic financial guidance and expertise to the executive leadership team and the Board of Directors to support decision-making and resource allocation.

    Identify opportunities for revenue generation, cost optimization, and process improvement to enhance the foundation's financial sustainability and impact.
    Qualifications

    Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
    Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in financial management, preferably in the non-profit sector.
    Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and regulatory requirements.
    Demonstrated experience in budgeting, financial analysis, and grant management.
    $130,000 - $160,000 a year
