JOB ROLE -



  • POSITION TITLE: Teacher

ROLE OVERVIEW:
Under the supervision of the school principal, accountable for the education, progress, and behavior of all students in assigned classes, and carries out relevant tasks as necessary.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience.

Successful completion of all student teaching requirements as well as all course work necessary to acquire the suitable teaching certificate(s) provided by the Illinois State Board of Education.

License Requirements


Teachers must hold at least one of the following valid teaching licenses granted by the Illinois State Board of Education: Professional Educator License (PEL) or Educator License with Stipulations (ELS), appropriately endorsed for this role.


Ability to adjust instruction to fulfill student needs, ability to collaborate with the school faculty and management in the creation and execution of a coherent program of instruction, ability to engage effectively with students, parents, staff, and community members in providing a fitting educational program; understanding of the physical, mental, social, and emotional traits of students.

Physical Requirements


Light Work:

Applying up to twenty (20) pounds of force occasionally, or up to ten (10) pounds of force frequently, or a negligible amount of force constantly to shift objects.

Physical demands encompass the capability to occasionally stoop, frequently reach, occasionally handle and finger objects, communicate constantly, frequent utilization of near visual acuity, and occasional utilization of far visual acuity.
