Position Overview:
Under the supervision of the Maintenance Technician, the Maintenance Worker is responsible for maintenance and repair of the physical plant in order to ensure a secure and safe environment for the general inmate population, the staff and public.
General Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include maintaining and repairing electro-mechanical door and control panels.
They are also responsible for repairs and maintenance on correctional facility equipment and systems such as climate control, fire safety, plumbing and electrical work.
Must be able to maintain strict tool control and will be responsible for job completed by trustees.Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- One to two years technical/vocational training at a college or technical school
- Two to three years of related experience
- Requires solid working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, electronics, prints and schematics
Pay:
$ $35.41 per hour
