    SUMMARY:

    The Product Manager plays a critical role in the growth and success of the Xactus Product Team and in enabling Xactus to achieve its objectives and core values, while optimizing for the end-to-end customer journey. This strategic and hands-on role applies Agile methodologies and leadership skills to successfully deliver prioritized initiatives, providing strategic thinking, and maximizing the value and health of the team backlog. This position is fully remote.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Cultivate and maintain a productive working relationship with key stakeholders and the development teams while independently bringing fresh ideas, continuous improvement, innovation, and strategy to the Xactus product backlog.
    • Ensure the teams backlogs reflect an improved and innovative customer experience.
    • Partner with VP, Product to create clarity in vision, driving the successful delivery of strategic initiatives by ensuring clear communications and alignment throughout the development lifecycle in an environment of rapid feedback and continuous adaptation while monitoring and maintaining alignment with strategic objectives.
    • Provide Subject Matter Expertise for development and test teams (communicating business value, removing blockers, adding details), business analysts, strategy team, and business stakeholders (explaining technical options and approaches, solution pros/cons); lead internal and stakeholder meetings (e.g., Refinement, Demos) and drive collaboration between teams and planning functions to improve delivery velocity and quality of products.
    • Serve as the 'voice of the customer,' representing users and sponsor interests, building cohesion and leading working groups, aligning with technical best practices, enhancing strategic data capture, and improving the user experience.
    • Partner with Product VP to Identify and highlight cross-functional impacts of development delivery - opportunities for secondary team benefits and downstream and/or unintended impacts or risks to be mitigated.
    • Build cross-organizational awareness of issues and readiness for Product and Epic release through contribution to weekly updates and detail deployment features in comprehensive Release Notes that incorporate work completed, business impact, and 'wins.'
    • Create Epic outlines and timelines, monitor and communicate progress, break down high-level Epics and broad requirements into more detailed user stories, and distribute responsibilities across team members and stakeholders.
    • Ensure Data and Analytics strategy is folded into all aspects of delivery: incorporation of data strategy into all requirements to enable the collection and aggregation of data from various sources and measurement.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
    • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, or related field.
    • 4+ years of successful product manager experience, preferably in a SaaS environment and/or in the financial services/fintech industry
    • Experience in Agile Scrum/Agile Development Methodology with a focus on supporting daily scrum, sprint planning, sprint reviews, retrospectives and consistently improving maturity in agile practices preferred, but not required
    SKILLS AND COMPETENTCIES:
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Strong presentation and leadership skills
    • Self-starter who understands how to effectively deal with ambiguity and with changing priorities
    • Strong analytic skills required, including the ability to interpret customer needs into application and operational requirements
    • Great team player - must have the ability to deal with conflicts, manage negotiations, provide feedback and drive needed change management practices with the objective of achieving the required outcomes
    WORKING CONDITIONS:
