- Develop and articulate a compelling product vision aligned with company goals.
- Lead the product strategy, ensuring it remains competitive and addresses market needs.
- Responsible for generating and presenting key product metrics to all levels of the organization.
- Hire, manage and mentor a team of product managers, ensuring collaboration and effective communication.
- Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement within the product management team.
- Manage and ensure that documentation and training are in continuous alignment with current and future products/enhancements.
- Oversee the entire product development lifecycle, from ideation to delivery, leading launch activities.
- Collaborate with engineering, design, and data science teams to translate product vision into clear and actionable plans.
- Own and lead key agile functional processes and planning tasks/meetings.
- Own and manage backlog of user stories with a continuously groomed backlog of 2 sprints
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify opportunities and threats.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and customer needs to inform product decisions.
- Perform pricing, cost, product market fit, ant willingness to pay analysis to validate product ideas.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive product roadmap, prioritizing features and enhancements based on business value and customer impact.
- Work closely with key customers and internal stakeholders to gather requirements, ensure alignment with company objectives, define, and deliver revolutionary features and functionality.
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, and customer success teams to drive successful product launches and adoption.
- Collect and analyze user feedback to inform product improvements and updates.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
- Minimum 7 years experience in product management roles with 3 years in management role.
- Proven experience in product management within a SaaS environment.
- Strong understanding of OCR, Machine Learning, AI, and data workflows a plus
- Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional product teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset.
- Familiarity with Workday or other ERP integrations a strong plus

What would you do at Ascend?
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager of Product to lead our innovative team in shaping the future of our Invoice Automation platform. You will be leading the team that is involved in the complete SDLC starting with ideation and ending with deploying new products and features. This role is critical in driving continuous enhancements to our products by ingesting ideas from multiple channels and generating achievable closely aligned business product roadmaps.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SaaS product management, a deep understanding of ERP invoice management, Machine Learning, AI technologies, invoice and Accounts Payable processes, and a proven track record of successfully bringing software products to market. The salary range for this position is $140,000-$160,000. This is a remote position.
