Position
The General Manager develops the organization through a strategic plan for development and growth.

Plans, organizes, directs, and controls the activities required for effective management of the sales and manufacture of products and services.

Partners with management to foster a collaborative environment.

Drives and supports the strategic direction to ensure customer satisfaction, quality and profitability are maintained throughout the lifecycle of sales and installation.

The position has full P&L responsibility for the pavement division.

Responsibilities
Provide leadership to the entire team, including the positions within the matrix.

Direct and manage all operation functions of truck equipment including manufacturing, sales, materials, quality, safety with a hands on approach.

Continue the approach of the current position owner of increasing the level of precision and professionalism in the daily work of the team

Focus on operations, making sure the plant meets and exceeds the output targets. This includes the daily management of the output but also the medium term plan to conceptually improve the operational layout and the processes

Provide guidance to the sales team from an overall perspective and be available for customer interaction on a "as required" basis. Set priorities and resolve issues
Manage budgets and control expenses effectively.
Improves quality by enforcing and establishing quality systems, processes and procedures
Continuously improves operational performance through data collection, development of metrics, gap analysis, action planning, and implementing effective change.
Fosters teamwork and develops team
Build company image by collaborating with suppliers and customers

Qualifications

Knowledge of manufacturing methods and procedures including strong working knowledge of process improvement methodologies, including Lean Manufacturing
Experienced in leading a diverse team from multiple disciplines and improve their overall performance
Sales and service experience, preferably in a sector that depends on public funding
Strongly preferred: Familiar with specialty/agricultural/construction/heavy truck vehicle production
