Description
Sutter Health is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for a part-time night position at EMC - Eden Medical Center in Castro Valley, California. The successful candidate will assess, provide, and document respiratory therapy to patients as ordered by a physician, according to established standards and practices. They will perform tasks requiring a substantial amount of scientific knowledge and technical skill.
Education: Graduate of an accredited 2-year program in Respiratory Therapy or graduate of an accredited 1-year program and successful completion of special skills assigned by Director of Cardiopulmonary Department. Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.
Certification and Licensure: RRT-Registered Respiratory Therapist, RCP-Respiratory Care Practitioner, or CRTT-Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician, BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
Preferred Experience: Familiarity with usual equipment and therapy used in Respiratory Care.
This position may regularly work, store, prepare, receive, unpack, transport, dispose of, or administer drug(s) identified as hazardous, or potentially hazardous, by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) for purposes of USP 800.
