Nightfall makes safeguarding sensitive data for every application simple and seamless. Organizations, from startups to global brands, trust Nightfall's software platform and APIs to discover, classify, and protect sensitive data. We are looking for an exceptional engineer to join our growing team at Nightfall. As a technical lead, you'll enable us to deliver our platform reliably, securely, and at massive scale. You'll help architect low latency, real-time microservices that process & detect sensitive data at scale. This is a hybrid role based out of our San Francisco office.

Responsibilities Work closely with engineers, product managers and designers to identify customer needs and build innovative solutions to solve themDesign new features and lead the shipping of these features into productionWriting and maintaining documentation about internal and public servicesMentor junior members of the teamImplement best practices in a fast-paced engineering environmentRequirementsMinimum 5+ years of hands-on technical development experienceExperience programming in Go, C++, Java or related languageExperience with developing complex software systems scaling to substantial data volumes or millions of users with production quality deployment, monitoring and reliability.

Experience designing and building systems in a microservices-based architectureAbility to decompose complex business problems and lead a team in solving themA foundational understanding of multi-threaded programming, concurrency primitives, and data structuresBS/MS in Computer Science or a related technical fieldBonus PointsExperience working in high growth venture-backed startupsBlog, teach, mentor, or help others learn outside of your day to day responsibilitiesFamiliarity with AWS and managed infrastructureFamiliarity with Docker/
