Description
Key Areas of Responsibility:
Work with Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) professionals and onsite business personnel in semiconductor manufacturing operations to implement & sustain programs designed to ensure worker health and safety, protection of the environment, compliance with regulatory requirements andreduction of risk.
EHS staff may be asked to work on the following:occupational health and safetyenvironmental engineeringpollution preventionchemical treatment and recycling systemsfire prevention and protection systemsindustrial hygienehazardous exposure preventionergonomics and body mechanicssustainability engineeringTypical activities include:Review regulatory changes that could impact site EHS operations through interpretation of regulations, interaction with work teams and production personnel, the development and implementation of technical and non-technical solutions.
Sample for analyses, various media (air, water, waste) for permit compliance Prepare and submit permit compliance reports and permit renewal applicationsPrepare for and participate in EHS and other NXP audits (e.g.
ISO 14001, 45001 and 18001)Interact with external governmental agencies on compliance related issuesGather EHS metrics for data compilation and input in various database systemReview / revise internal NXP EHS standards and documentsWork with NXP staff at other sites on a variety of projectsLimited domestic travel may be required Education & Experience Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a technical field (Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Environmental Engineering, Materials Engineering, Environmental Science or equivalent)Minimum 5 years of experience in a relevant EHS fieldEHS knowledge related to Semiconductor IC manufacturing is preferred Experience in managing small teams or project implementation highly preferredGood written and verbal English communication skillsWork independently and collaboratively across various functional groupsAbility to complete assignments, resourcefulness to find answers and solve problems.
