Job Summary:


The Controller will be a key figure in the finance department, responsible for maintaining and reconciling balance sheets, and ensuring that all financial reporting is in compliance with GAAP standards.

This role is pivotal in managing and overseeing the entire audit process, possessing deep knowledge of what auditors look for and ensuring readiness for audit examinations.

The Controller will also review accrued expenses and reconcile discrepancies between the balance sheet and financial schedules.

This position does not involve managing the finance team or engaging in financial planning and analysis (FP&A).

Instead, the focus is on executing detailed financial tasks such as making financial schedules, preparing due diligence documents, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards such as ASC 842, ASC 606, and debt covenants.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and reconcile balance sheets accurately.
  • Oversee and run the audit process, ensuring all requirements and expectations are met.
  • Investigate and resolve any discrepancies in accrued expenses and financial schedules.
  • Prepare detailed financial schedules and documents for due diligence.
  • Ensure strict compliance with all relevant accounting standards (ASC 842, ASC 606), GAAP, and debt covenants.
  • Support and facilitate the work of accountants by providing detailed and precise financial data and analysis.

Other Requirements:


  • Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance
  • 35 Years Minimum Controller Role W/ Listed Duties in Job Description
  • Proven experience as a Controller or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and other financial reporting standards.
  • Expertise in audit processes and financial compliance.
  • Excellent attention to detail and precision in handling financial data.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to solve complex financial issues.

Pay:
$100, $125,000.00 per year
