    POSITION SUMMARY:
    The Clinical Director, Community Behavioral Health Center oversees CBHC core services and their clinical operations.

    This individual partners with clinical and administrative leaders in the Department of Psychiatry to ensure the delivery of high quality, patient-centered, and accessible care to the diverse Boston population.

    The Clinical Director monitors fidelity to program specifications and helps to identify approaches to improve care delivery.

    The Clinical Director CBHC also works closely with the Clinical Director of Crisis Services to ensure seamless clinical operations across the Community Behavioral Health Center continuum of care.

    Clinical Program Management/Quality of Care
    In collaboration with the CBHC Medical Director and Clinical Supervisors, manages the operational, administrative, and clinical functions of the CBHC's core services and programs
    Meets regularly with CBHC management team to review data/performance metrics
    Works closely with the Clinical and Administrative Outpatient leadership team to ensure smooth transitions of care and compliance with CBHC program performance specs
    Sets qualifications and oversees strategies for ensuring compliance with program performance specifications, as well as patient care standards, laws, regulations, and the standards and requirements of various professional organizations and regulatory agencies for all qualifying CBHC members
    Oversees the processes for recruiting and hiring staff
    Oversees the processes for onboarding and training new staff, staff supervision, staff performance evaluation and performance management. Gathers, interprets, and disseminates information on hospital-wide policies, new programs, and other pertinent information to managers and staff
    Education/Training
    Provides leadership over CBHC clinical team, including Doctoral/Master's level and independently licensed clinicians, professional level staff, and managers
    Works closely with the Department of Psychiatry's Director of training to ensure compliance with training and education requirements
    Provides oversight and supervision of clinical work, including:
    Ensures appropriate clinical supervision for staff by licensure needs
    Provides direct clinical care to CBHC patients either on a scheduled basis or as needed to support clinic operations and patient care

    • Participates in appropriate organizations and represents Boston Medical Center at appropriate external meetings or organizations
    • Master's degree in Social Work, Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling, or Doctorate in Psychology

    REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED :
    ~ Requires current Massachusetts independent licensure related to formal education & training

    Advanced interpersonal skills necessary to interact effectively with various healthcare professionals, develop and maintain effective therapeutic relationships with patients and families, and supervise and manage team
    Excellent English communication skills (oral and written). Bilingual or multi-lingual skills (beyond that of English) is a plus.
    Ability to interpret data and use data to guide decision-making
    Proficient with basic computer programs, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), web browsers, and electronic medical records systems
